With Elections at the next meeting and the first round of nominees already set it felt like a good idea to explain our election procedure for anyone interested.

Nominations - The intent to have nominations was announced during the August meeting so that potential nominees could make a decision on whether to run. We had our first round of nomination in during the October Meeting and those nominees have been published. We will have a second round of nominees before the votes during the December meeting. This gives anyone the opportunity to decide to run up to the last minute.

Elections - Once Nominations are closed we move to elections. In the MCF elections are done by voice vote for those present at the meeting. However, only 1 person per club may vote and the number of votes per club is allocated based on how many races that club has promoted. 0 races = 1 vote, 1-2 races = 2 votes, 3+ races = 3 votes. We will post the number of votes each club has before the December meeting.

Whichever candidate has the most votes will take that office.

If there are any questions on this procedure please feel free to send us a message.

See you at the Races!
